ANIMALS INJURATED OR ABANDONED

Caring for injured animals requires constant attention. It cannot be taken lightly. Sometimes, Although, that animal, who looks to be in need of help, in fact, it is perfectly safe. We see young birds sometimes – seemingly abandoned by their parents. Mostly, however, it is young people, which has already left the nest, however, it is still watched over by its parents. Thus, if we see a chick somewhere, let us observe them but let us not touch or move them elsewhere, because only then the parents will not be able to find him. However, if after a long observation we find, that the chick really is abandoned, we take them home and bring them up. We must remember this, that it is an extremely laborious and difficult job. For feeding, we can prepare a mixture of hard-boiled egg and a little raw meat. We give the food with tweezers, preferably a dropper. This occupation takes a long time, as most birds feed their young quite often. Caring for abandoned mammals can cause similar problems. We can use variously prepared milk (of different composition), by feeding the animal with a dropper. It is also a very laborious activity.

Overfeeding a farmed young animal is as dangerous as underfeeding. I remember, when I once looked after a young hedgehog. I left him with my sister for one weekend, along with detailed instructions, how much food your pet will get with each meal. Because the young hedgehog, like most mammals, he was extremely greedy, sister got the impression, that I want to starve him, feeding him so sparingly. So she started giving him twice the amount, than I gave her. Unfortunately, it ended with the hedgehog's death as a result of intestinal inflammation as a result of overfeeding.

If we find a wounded animal, we should make sure, are we able to help him. It's best to take them to your vet, which will help us choose the most appropriate course of action.

SMALL MAMMALS IN THE BACKGROUND OF THE ENVIRONMENT

When we collect a lot of information and exhibits about a certain species, it is worth making an information kit (tables), showing clearly, what we found out about the animal. In the center of the board, put the right animal - its skin, drawing or photo. Next to it, we place things related to it - drawings or casts of traces, feces - as well as a map of the territory, on which it appears. You can also attach a sketch or a photo of his home (burrows, sockets).
There are examples of food in the lower part, and predators on top, his enemies. This will explain the animal's place in the environment, will present animals dependent on him as a food source, will also show, what his survival depends on.
